Summer Camps for Students in
Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade
The children will enjoy a continuation of their learning as they join us for a summer of fun. The cultural area of the classroom will be transformed each week to reflect a different theme (see below). New number games and language activities will entice the children to further discover their world.
Weeks and Themes
Choose a week or several weeks of fun for your child! (Please note we will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.)
Week 1: June 3-June 7/Welcome to Summer!
Activities to meet the needs of each child as they are welcomed into the Montessori classroom. Individual lessons with a focus on manners and friendship will be given.
Week 2: June 10-June 14/Art
Various art projects will be done throughout the week. The children will be encouraged to explore their creative side as they explore the paint palette.
Week 3: June 17-June 21/Spanish
Come and be immersed in the Spanish language through specific Spanish materials, lessons, and conversation.
Week 4: June 24-June 28/LEGOs
What child doesn’t love LEGOs? Build, construct, and refurbish as the new LEGO boxes are opened. Activities will include simple construction to complex creations.
Week 5: July 1-July 5 (Closed for 4th of July)/4th of July
Patriotic fun will be had over a four-day week. Activities will include all things patriotic.
Week 6: July 8-July 12/Crafts
Crafting projects will explore different media and skills, including gluing, cutting, and creating.
Week 7: July 15-July 19/Mad Science
Let’s experiment and see chemical reactions. We might create waves or make a volcano explode, depending on where our interest lead us.
Week 8: July 22-July 26/Board Games
We’ll learn how to play board games so we can turn off the television and cell phones for relaxation and charge up our socialization and thinking skills. “Family” fun and conversation will be enjoyed.
Week 9: July 29-August 2/Wrapping Up Summer
Wind down and wrap up. It’s time to enjoy the last summer camp.
