Back-to-School Night

The Maitland Montessori PTA invites you and your family to the annual "Back-to-School Night"! This is the first official event of the school year!  More details will be forthcoming.

Sunday, September 16
Times: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Cost:  $30 per person
Family Bowling Day, Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Disney Springs

Spaces are limited to 160 guests so be sure to buy your tickets early!  Purchase tickets on Venmo (@mms-pta).  Be sure to note "bowling" on the transaction and how many tickets you are purchasing.  The ticket includes (per person) unlimited bowling, shoe rental, three slices of pizza, salad, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Friday, October 19
Times: 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Chili Cook-Off/Potluck Dinner/Costume Parade

Chefs will compete for the titles of “People’s Choice” and “Chili Master.” Chili must be presented in an aluminum pan provided by the PTA. Register and pick up your pan in the main office starting on October 8. For those who will not be bringing chili, please feel free to bring a savory side dish, dip, or dessert, along with a serving dish and spoon (ALL NON-DISPOSABLE dishes should be labeled with your name). Bottled water will be provided. The children may wear their costumes to participate in a grand parade (Please, NO swords, guns, or masks. DO bring treat bags!) Candy/treat donations will be needed. Saturday, November 10
Times:  7:00-11:00 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased in advance.  Attire:  "Iconic Bond fashion."  Tickets are $60 each on or before November 1, and $75 each after November 1.  Donations and sponsorships will be greatly appreciated!  Sign up to volunteer at Questions?  Contact the PTA at

Holiday Market

Monday, December 3 is a one-day-only Holiday Market for children who may celebrate holidays before the main December 18-20 Market. December 18, 29, and 20 will be the Second Annual Holiday Market (the main market). Gifts will cost $1.00 each and will include gift wrapping. Forms with a shopping list on back will be sent home. For children shopping on December 3, shopping lists will be available in the main office. At both events, children should bring their shopping lists with them. Friday, December 14
Times: Starts at 6:00 p.m.

Join us for a night of singing, recorder music, liquid nitrogen ice cream and other comestibles, and the "world famous" Cookie Walk. Please bring chairs and $5 for a Cookie Walk container (to fill with goodies). The concert starts at 6:00 p.m. Parking: North Swoope behind Publix, alongside the elementary/middle school (2-story building on George), and in the parking lot adjacent to our campus. Questions? Holiday Market

Gifts for parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, teachers, and even pets will be available for $1 each, which includes gift wrapping. Please complete the “shopping list” that is sent home. No child will be turned away from choosing gifts for their loved ones, regardless of their ability to pay. Volunteers for shopping, wrapping, and helping will be greatly appreciated. Questions? Sunday, January 20
Times: 8:45 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Scottish Highland Games, Central Winds Park, Winter Springs

Tickets must be purchased in advance from Ms. Leslie in the main office NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2019.  Event includes fun for all ages: bagpipe bands, traditional dancing, border collie herding, strength and skill competitions, a hands-on children’s area, shopping, and traditional food (yes, even haggis). Bands play all day long. Payment can be made by Venmo @mms-pta (note: SCOTGAMES), or with cash or a check made payable to the Maitland Montessori PTA (MMSPTA). Tickets will be sent home with your child the week before the event. Tickets are $5 for children ages 6-11 and $15 for anyone 12 years old and up; children under six years old are free. Friday, February 1
Times: Event starts at 6:00 p.m.; movie starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.
”Movie Under the Stars,” Cookie Walk, and Raffle

The PG movie “Inside Out” will be shown. Cookie Walk bags may be purchased for $3 each using cash or Venmo. Raffle tickets for great items will be sold at the door; you can purchase your raffle tickets with cash or Venmo. Raffle ticket prices are: one for $5, five for $20, ten for $35, 20 for $60, and 50 for $100. Donations of cookies and sweet treats will be needed the week of January 28 to February 1. Friday, March 15
Times: All Day

Tickets must be purchased in advance by 12:00 p.m. on MARCH 8, 2019 with a check or through Venmo (@mms-pta). Adult (13+) tickets are $31 each and children’s (3-12) tickets are $15.  Children 2 and under are free. (Please note that there are NO REFUNDS.) Families are responsible for their own transportation; carpooling is encouraged, though. The standard parking fee is $19 and will be due at the time you arrive at the park. Ticket holders meet at the LEGOLAND entrance at 9:45 a.m.; park opens at 10:00 a.m. Latecomers will need to go to ticket window, identify themselves as Maitland Montessori, their name will be checked against a list, and they will be given further instructions.
