Applicant for the 2 1/2 to 6 Program must have completed high school with an academic diploma. Applicant for the 6 to 9 Program must have completed high school with an academic diploma AND a bachelor's degree. If a 6 to 9 Program applicant is a foreign student he/she must hold a degree from his/her country that is equivalent to a bachelor's degree. If a 6 to 9 Program applicant does not hold a bachelor's degree and is enrolled in the 6 to 9 Program, upon successful completion of the 6 to 9 Programhe/she may apply ACE credits towards a bachelor's degree; an AMS Elementary Certification/Credential WILL NOT be awarded until the student has obtained a bachelor's degree. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Applicant must have an interview with the program directors. For 2 1/2 to 6 Program, applicant must compose an essay, "Why I Wish to Take Montessori Training." For 6 to 9 Program, applicant must compose an essay based on the following topic: "Choose a positive incident from your own educational career that you remember as being stimulating, and tell why it is memorable."

An application form must be completed and returned with the non-refundable application fee and the required essay. Applicants for the 2 1/2 to 6 Programmust provide a copy of a high school diploma or a college transcript. Applicants for the 6 to 9 Program must provide a copy of a high school diploma AND a bachelor's degree (please refer to the above requirements). The applicant must furnish two (2) letters of reference.

Thirty (30) hours undergraduate college credit recommendations in Early Childhood education are available through the American Council on Education (ACE) upon the successful completion of the2 1/2 to 6program. Thirty-six (36) undergraduate college credits recommendations in Elementary education are available through the American Council on Education (ACE) upon the successful completion of the 6-9 program. A list of colleges that accept ACE credits is available upon request.. The lecturers are fully qualified through age 12 years in Montessori philosophy and materials. They are based locally, easily accessible, and seen on a weekly basis.
